Neon Sydney

2013 - Current

Sydney

Neon Sydney looks at neon signs within the Australian context and internationally, and the repurposing of historic signs. The aim is to document and celebrate, at neon.sydney and on instagram (@neonsydney), the neon of yesterday and today, as well as sharing some of my research about neon signage and urban Sydney.

Coastal Incidental

2015 - 2020

Central Coast

Coastal Incidental is a collaborative project which attempts to capture the rapidly changing built environment on the Central Coast, as well as those transient moments that aren’t usually captured.

Coastal Incidental was commissioned by Central Coast Council to produce a photographic series, capturing the laneways of Wyong for the inaugural Love Lanes Festival 2017. I also ran an architectural walking tour of Long Jetty as part of the Long Jetty Fest 2016. The project is ongoing, with my involvement coming to a close in 2020. Having worked in private practice and the public sector across new, adaptive re-use and conservation projects, I am particularly interested in finding new uses for old places and the literal and figurative permeability of the private and public realm. Below are images from a selection of projects.
